Profitraining with Neus Montané

These classes offer a physical and sensorial training where technique and improvisation coexist as complementary pathways to deepen movement practice. Each session begins with exercises designed to awaken bodily perception, refine presence, and activate inner listening. Through guided sequences and dynamic explorations, we connect imagination and anatomy, cultivating an available, curious, and receptive body. Coordination, physical efficiency, and clarity of gesture are developed through movement patterns that integrate strength, flexibility, and fluidity. Improvisation is present throughout the practice, allowing each participant to find their own pathway to articulate movement and expand the limits of their dance. The work proposes a journey between center and expansion, detail and global energy, playfulness and presence, aiming to develop a body that is both rigorous and sensitive, and a practice that nourishes creativity and the pleasure of moving.

Neus Montané

Neus Montané (she / her) is a dancer, creator, teacher and therapist from Barcelona currently based in Berlin. She graduated in dance and theatre from the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona and continued developing her training through artistic communities between Berlin and Barcelona. Her practice spans dance, performance, and therapeutic approaches, with a focus on movement as a means of expression, connection, and transformation. Deeply interested in the social dimensions of the performing arts, she is particularly drawn to their capacity to generate community. She regularly teaches contemporary dance and improvisation classes and workshops, especially between Germany and Spain, aiming to create spaces where dance becomes a tool for communication, inclusion, and shared growth. Her work has taken place mainly in Spain, Germany, and the Czech Republic, collaborating with different artists, while also developing her own creative projects. Among these is Ways of Listening, a research-based project inspired by the concepts of philosopher Vinciane Despret. Currently she is collaborating with Sasha Waltz & Guests. Instagram: @neusmontane
